Portugal muss wohl nicht erst seit Moonspell auf der Metal-Landkarte erscheinen. Es gibt wohl noch viel zu entdecken. Evidence ist so eine vielversprechende Band. Ein heftiges Rockgewitter bricht aus den Lautsprechern hervor. Druckvoll und sehr melodisch. Schon der Opener The Machine presst dir den Brustkorb zusammen und föhnt die Matte. Ja, da kommt Freude auf. Dann plötzlich Shankar Song Part 1 und Shankar Song Part 2. Hier wird filigran zwischen Rock und Ballade gependelt. Da greift man zum Kopfhörer...

Der Titeltrack Truth From A Lie kracht dann wieder ins Hirn. Was für ein Wechsel. Sehr gut gefällt mir auch My Last Day. Gefühlvoll gesungen und gespielt. Ein schöner Midtempotrack. Es folgt mit Questions eine richtig schöne Akustikballade. Mit dem Hammer Wicked wird noch einmal Flagge gezeigt bevor es mit dem wunderschön ruhigen Lalarbia dem Ende der CD entgegen geht.

Fazit: Ich bin ehrlich beeindruckt. Der Blick über den Tellerrand zu unseren Nachbarn in Portugal lohnt sich. Ich hoffe noch mehr zu entdecken.

Portugal has appeared on the metal map with Moonspell but there is a lot more to discover. Evidence is such a band. A heavy thunder is breaking from the loudspeakers. The opener The Machine presses your lungs und gives you a spray of air to your hair. Yes, that makes you feel good. Then, suddenly Shankar Song Part 1 and Shankar Song Part 2. Here is a wonderful balance between rock and ballad. You automatically put on your headphones to listen carefully.

The title track Truth From A Lie smashes in your brain afterwards. What a change! I like My Last Day very much. It is sung and played with soul and feelings. A wonderful Midtempotrack. Questions follows in an acoustic balladesque sound. Wicked shows the flag of heavy metal again, but with Lalarbia the CD is floating to a calm peaceful end.

I\'m really impressed. The look over the borders in Europe to our neighbour Portugal is rewarding us. I hope to discover more in the future.
